The Clarke Creek Wind and Solar Farm aims to be an active member of the local community by providing support to local community initiatives and events.
A community fund will be established and consist of $200,000 each year, for the entire life cycle of the project. This fund will commence once the project starts construction.
The aim of the community fund will be to financially support initiatives and projects that enrich and enhance the local community. Funding applications will be considered from all sectors, including but not limited to community development, the arts, education and training (including scholarships through organisations), health and wellbeing, sport, economic development, environment and sustainability.
The projects to receive funding will be determined by the Community Fund Committee comprising of a representative of the project owner and other volunteer representatives. The volunteer representatives will likely be members of the local community, representatives/officers of Isaac and Livingstone Council and representatives of project host landowners.
Terms of Reference Community Fund Committee and Guidelines for the Community Fund will be determined in consultation with the local community.
