We are calling all companies and individuals who want to be part of building this exciting project to register their interest.
The construction of the Wind and Solar Farm will be a significant investment and take up to 3 years to fully complete. At its peak, the workforce that will be constructing this will be 350 people. There are a large amount of gravel roads to be built, power cables to be laid, power lines to be erected, wind turbine foundation holes to be dug and concrete to be poured, solar arrays to be constructed and turbines to be built.
As well as direct employees there will be a large number of services that need to be contracted, such as: plant hire, geotechnical drillers, transportation, excavators, crane and lifting specialists, engineers, surveyors, fitters, electrical contractors, hotels and catering.
Lacour Energy has partnered with Goldwind Australia to deliver the Project. Goldwind will supply wind turbines to the project and manage construction works.
Major subcontractors will be appointed for the following work packages:
Design and construction of the civil and electrical balance of plant (onsite roads, foundations, buildings and electrical reticulation);
Wind turbine installation.
Smaller work packages are available to assist with the above mentioned work packages.
Lacour Energy recognises the ICN Gateway as a key tool to identify capability and capacity in the local community and maximise opportunities for local suppliers to participate in the project.
Position Vacant: Community Relations Officer
Location: Clarke Creek/Marlborough and surrounding areas.
Hours: Part-time, approx. 15 hours per week, days to be agreed.
The role will represent the Clarke Creek Wind Farm project in the local area and assist with the provision of community relations and engagement for the project during the construction phase.
• Set up and establish an Information Centre for the Clarke Creek Wind Farm project.
• Manage the Clarke Creek Wind Farm Information Centre(s), including open/closing, attending to visitors, answering email/telephone enquiries etc.
• Identify communication channels to use to proactively share project information with the local community and assist in the preparation and provision of project information and updates.
• Knowledge and experience of the local community is essential.
• Experience in community engagement or communications experience is desirable.
